Industrail Design to Fine Arts
The Early Years
Fred has been an artist since childhood. During middle school, he won the school badge art contest. In college, he earned an A+ in a design class before the semester was over—even mid-semester.
His innate talent for art and spatial ability was recognized early on by his college guidance counselor, who encouraged Fred to explore a career in industrial design. Taking this advice to heart, Fred pursued and earned a degree in industrial design, setting the stage for a successful career in the field.

Return to Traditional Art
After more than two decades as an industrial designer, Fred returned to his first love: fine art. He is well-versed in all mediums but currently favors oil and acrylic painting. Fred’s works primarily focus on oceanic landscapes and figures from Southern California, as well as religious subjects and scenes.
Fred Wada’s Artist Bio Sharing My Passion
In addition to creating art, Fred enjoys teaching painting techniques. He has taught several painting classes, helping others develop their artistic knowledge and skills. Fred finds joy in teaching, inspiring, and encouraging students to explore their creativity and develop their unique style, rather than simply following his own.
He believes in limitless creativity. The challenge, he feels, is how to unlock the creative mindset without boundaries or limits in those he teaches.
